The Cake Workshop has launched!!

It has been very exciting moving the business to it's new home at Warwick Mill Business Centre near Carlisle.  Not only were we lucky enough to find some beautiful premises but we also have the luxury of being the only business of it's type in the local area.

Our philosophy for the classes remains the same as it always has done since we launched in 2009.  We want anyone to feel that they can attend a class and not to feel that they don't know enough or won't be good enough.  We aim to show that everyone can have a go at cake decorating and we can assure you that even complete beginners are delighted with what they have achieved at the end of the three hour cupcake basics classes.

We have a number of classes on offer but have many more in the pipe line so it's a very busy time for us.

I will, however, introduce you to a few of the 'old faithfuls' who have served us well over the years and convert students in to cupcake fanatics!!

The first class that most students attend is the Cupcakes Basics Class.  This is ideal if you are new to cake decorating altogether, new to cupcakes or simply want to refresh your cake decorating skills.  We will guide you through the basics of using different types of icing, how to colour then, how best to use them and how to make some beautiful decorations for your cupcakes.  We even make beautiful sugarpaste roses.

This 3 hour lesson is often described by students as very theraputic and people are very surprised to learn how much they are able to achieve.

We have lots of classes running for these courses - both weekdays (great for mums as our week day classes always run in school hours) and weekends.  We also run this class for group bookings including hen parties, corporate groups or just groups of friends who fancy a fun filled afternoon out.

Take a look at some of our pictures and you will see what we get up to on this class and then why not book yourself on to a lesson and see what all of the fuss is about
